Fantasia Breaks Down During Concert in Trinidad + Performs “I Can’t Stand The Rain”

Over the weekend birthday girl Fantasia (happy belated 28th b’day!!) set sail for Trinidad & Tobago for a special concert. While performing for hundreds at the Ambassador Hotel she took a moment between each song to explain what each song meant to her.

“This is where I get my peace,” Fanny told the crowd while cueing up her debut single ‘Free Yourself.’ “I’m just like you. I go through a lot of things. So for me coming up here [on stage] is where I let loose… is it okay if I free myself for just a little while?”

However, before ‘Even Angels’ things got emotional as she spoke about her life:

No matter what you’ve been through, know that you can fly. I have to tell God thank you because he has blessed me. Just when I thought it was all over, he kept blessing me. He’s always been there. I made it through because of God…Everything I went through is my testimony.

This year, we lost Whitney Houston…They just wouldn’t leave her alone. They did not understand that she was only human. We lose family, friends, all for the love of money. The only person who will never leave you is Jesus.

Near the end of the song Fantasia was circling the stage with her head low weeping, in tears.

I congratulate Fantasia for overcoming her struggles and hope she continues to use her life as a testimony. I ALSO hope she gets enough sense to leave Antwaun Cooke the hell alone. Her music and journey inspires millions around the world.

Watch footage from Fantasia’s birthday concert and tell me what u think of the show in the comments!
