GAY MARRIAGE: Appeals Court Refuses to Rehear Prop 8 Case, Headed to Supreme Court

Back in February the 9th District Circuit Court deemed California’s anti-gay marriage law known as Prop 8 unconstitutional because it outright “works a meaningful harm to gays and lesbians.”

The nay sayers then filed an appeal urging the court to completely restart the case, throwing three years of legal battles out the window, and yesterday (June 5) the court replied with a 7-page response basically saying in the words of Sweet Brown, “ain’t nobody got time for that!”

If the battle is to continue, those against same sex marriage in California must file a petition with the Supreme Court within 90 days. If not, marriage will be legal again.

I sense an appeal will be coming to the Supreme Court. If the heteros are willing to completely throw out their own three years of money, time, and emotional energy why would they not file to the Supreme Court? I don’t they think they understand though. There is nothing in the world worse than a fag with a point to prove. We show up ready for war!

What do you think of the court’s decision?
